South Indian Vada Recipe
This is a simple condensed recipe of my mother’s recipe of making Medhu Vada –
Ingredients –
- Ultam Paruppu – 2.5 Cups
- Ginger – 1 inch for each cup of Dal
- Salt 0 1 teaspoon for each cup of Dal
- Green chilli – As per preference
- Chopped onions – Finely chopped
- Chopped curry leaves – 1 Tablespoon
- Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
Method –
- Grind the ultam paruppu, salt, ginger and green chilli into a fine paste in your blender.
- Mix the onion, curry leaves and coriander leaves into the paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, and deep fry the vada batter.
